How do I use my phone features?

FibreStream offers 8 features for our Home Phone Service ($25/month): Call Display, Automatic Recall, 3-Way Calling, Call Forwarding, Do Not Disturb, Call Waiting, Speed Calling and Voicemail.

Call Display: The caller’s name and number is displayed while your phone is ringing.This feature requires a call display capable telephone.

On: *65

Off: *85

Automatic Recall: This feature dials the number of the last incoming call you received. To enable this feature press *69 on your handset.

3-Way Calling: This feature allows you to contact 2 telephone numbers at the same time and conduct simultaneous conversation with both people.

How to use it:

To make or receive call. Inform the other person on the call that you are about to add a third party. Press the “Flash” button on your phone. If your phone does not have a “Flash” button, you can quickly press and release the “hang up” or “on hook” button. When the call is answered, press the “Flash” button once more to add the person who is waiting to call.

Call Forwarding (Basic): This feature allows you to forward all incoming calls to another number regardless of whether the line is busy or there is no answer.

How to use it:

To control call forwarding from your phone, use the following access codes below. Nnnnnnnnnn represents the number to which you want to forward your calls

On: *72nnnnnnnnnn

Off: *73

Do Not Disturb: This feature lets you block your line temporarily to prevent incoming calls, or if used at the Selective Call Acceptance level, allows only calls from specific numbers to ring through.

On: *78

Off: *79

Call Waiting: This feature allows a single number to hunt multiple lines within the same business. Calls to the Hunt Group are passed to a non-busy line with the Hunt Group, or may be added to a queue if all lines are busy.

How to use it:

Press the “Flash” button on your phone. If your phone does not have a “Flash” button, you can quickly press and release the “hang up” or “on hook” button.

Speed Calling: Set up your phone system so that you can use short codes to call your frequently used numbers.

How to use it:

To set up Speed Calling from your phone, use one of the following access codes (seen below). You will hear a broken dial tone*. Dial the Speed Calling code you want to use, followed by the full telephone number you want to access using that code. You will then hear a confirmation tone.To use the feature for outgoing calls, dial the speed dial code followed by the pound (#).

To set up 1 digit speed dial numbers *74

To set up 2 digit speed dial numbers *75

Voicemail: Access your voicemail from home using *98. Once your passcode is set, you can access your voicemails away from home. Call your home, wait for the voicemail prompt, then press (*) followed by your password.
