How do I change my wireless name and password (TP-Link)?

For:

TP-Link Archer C7 (V2), Archer C2 (V2), N300 (V2), N750 (V2), C20 (V4 and V5). 

The TP-Link C20 V5 does not have a username field for login. The password is 'admin1'.

Open your Internet browser. Enter 192.168.0.1 in your address bar.

  1. Enter "admin" as the username and "admin" as the password. Click Login.
  2. On the left-hand side, navigate to the "Wireless 2.4GHz" menu option. 
  3. Change the "Wireless Network Name" to your name of choice. Click Save. 
  4. From the sub-menu, select Wireless Security.
  5. In the "PSK Password" text box, enter your new password.
  6. Click Save. 
  7. On the left-hand side, navigate to the "Wireless 5.0GHz" menu option. 
  8. Change the "Wireless Network Name" to your name of choice. Click Save. 
  9. From the sub-menu, select Wireless Security.
  10. Enter your new password in the "PSK Password" text box.
  11. Click Save. 
  12. Select the "System Tools" option on the left-hand side. 
  13. From the sub-menu, select Reboot. 
  14. Click Reboot.
  15. Please wait 1-2 minutes for the router to reboot. 

For:

TP-Link Archer C7 (V4 & V5)

  1. Open your Internet browser. Enter 192.168.0.1 in your address bar.
  2. In the Password field, enter admin. 
  3. Under the “Basic” tab, select Wireless.
  4. Change the name and password of both the wireless name and password. Click Save.
